Sourced from Elephant Mountain and Dineen Vineyards, this blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc was crafted to showcase both freshness and depth. Twenty percent whole cluster fermentation brought added lift and structure, while careful handling preserved the purity of the fruit.
The result is a vibrant, expressive wine that reflects the character of its Yakima Valley origins — approachable in its youth, yet with the balance and structure to age gracefully.
"This delightfully priced red blend comes from three different vineyards, Elephant Mountain, the Vines of Guadalupe and Schmidt Vineyard, almost perfectly divided between them. Spending 21 months in French oak, over 80% of it is neutral allows the fruit and site to take center stage with this wine. Mostly Merlot, with Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Cabernet Franc all playing a role. Aromatics of boysenberry, violets and crushed black stone. The palate dazzles at this or any price. Plenty of savoury goodness buoys delicious sapid red and black berry fruits, dried wild herbs, and notes of fresh mint and white pepper bring a piquant spice to the lengthy finish.
